Message from the Principal
Kaya Carramar Families
On behalf of our staff, “A very big thank you” to our parents, students, and P & C for your wonderful messages of thanks, and an extra special thank you for the scrumptious morning tea that was prepared for World Teachers Day last Friday. We greatly appreciated it.
No doubt you are all eagerly awaiting the reveal of our latest project from our City of Wanneroo (CoW) students. You will have noticed that it is now up on the wall, thanks to Mr West and his band of helpers over the weekend, and on Thursday, Noonakoort Danjoo will be revealed to all. Sincere thanks to Mrs Block for her coordination of this fantastic project and partnership with staff and students at JBSC.
I look forward to welcoming our 2025 Kindergarten parents to the school community tomorrow, at our Kindergarten Information Session. We are also very excited to meet their children, our 2025 Kindergarten students, as they begin their Pre-Kindy Transition sessions in Week 6. These sessions provide a great opportunity for our new students to meet their peers and get to know a little bit about school life, whilst also providing valuable information sessions to our new parents. Our new students and parents benefit greatly from these opportunities. Thank you to Ms Morgan and our K and PP staff for coordinating these days.
Carramar Primary Play group – A very big thank you to our Playgroup Coordinator Lynsey Tate for coordinating our Playgroup sessions on Monday mornings; attendance at the last few sessions has been at maximum capacity with many wonderful exciting indoor and outdoor learning opportunities being provided. No doubt many of these faces will be seen tomorrow and in coming weeks – exciting times ahead for Early Childhood at Carramar Primary.
Thank you also for your generous support of our recent Book Fair, with a lot of purchases made. This year we went with a new company, Larrikin, and the incredible sales indicate that we are likely to continue with next year. Thanks to our Library Officer, Tammy Gordon, and all staff and parents who assisted. All funds raised will go towards increasing our library resources.
Congratulations to all students who participated in last week’s State Cross Country Championships. We wish all who are competing in the upcoming State Triathlon this Friday all the best. We know you will do yourselves proud. Thank you to Mr Malatios and Mr Cox for preparing the students for these events, and to you our parents for all your support.
Planning for 2025 is well underway. As mentioned in previous newsletters, information regarding where your children will be attending school in 2025 informs our budget, which in turn informs our Class Structure and Staffing. Thank you for advising the school ASAP if you WILL NOT BE RETURNING next year. Your support and understanding are greatly appreciated.
We have certainly been blessed with some beautiful Kambarang weather and are hoping it continues next week as we celebrate Outdoor Classroom Day, on Thursday 7th November.
Learning outdoors is good for our students’ health, engages them in what they are learning and leads to a greater connection with nature. With many students overly attached to screens, it’s more crucial than ever before to encourage our children to enjoy the many learning opportunities that our outdoors can provide.
Thank you in advance for your support of our upcoming White Disco Evening, Friday 8th November, coordinated by our P & C and their hard-working team. This is a free event (except for glow bands and fairy floss) Due to the special lighting for the night, everyone is asked to wear white!
A mammoth thankyou to our P & C for all their efforts with all events this year. We acknowledge everyone’s personal commitments and greatly appreciate all that you do to support our school. Thank you to all who are available to lend a hand for our White Disco Evening.
In closing, if you are planning on engaging in Halloween celebrations in the community tomorrow tonight, please remember to keep safe and look after yourselves and each other.
Have a wonderful fortnight.
